AZtecLive: A revolutionary approach to SEM-EDS analysis

Watch on demand

AZtecLive and applications:
See how AZtecLive can radically change the way you approach to sample investigation in the electron microscope. AZtecLive offers a dynamic and interactive experience with LIVE ‘chemical imaging’. You’ll see different application examples, where AZtecLive is used to achieve results in a fraction of the time that current analysis methods can take…and in some cases, highlight issues that would normally be missed. Whether you regularly carry out materials research, failure analysis, general forensics or you just want to speed up your everyday analysis…AZtecLive will have something to offer you.

Ultim Max speed and accuracy:

AZtecLive is powered by new Ultim Max SDD detectors. These offer sensor sizes of up to 170mm2 and work up to count rates well in excess of 1,500,000cps. This hardware is sensitive enough for AZtecLive to work in the pA range for investigating nano-structures, and the fidelity for analysis of ceramics and metals at very high beam current. New algorithms ensure accurate autoID, peak deconvolution mapping and quantitative analysis at unparalleled analysis speeds. We will show examples of how AZtecLive works seamlessly with other more established EDS methods such as X-ray mapping and phase mapping to provide accurate answers in seconds, or to push the boundaries of what is possible with EDS.
