Oxford Instruments Selected as Recipient of the Foreign Minister's Commendation for 2023
Oxford Instruments Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) was selected as a recipient of the Foreign Minister's Commendation for 2023 in recognition of its achievements in promoting science and technology cooperation between Japan and the UK. This year, 187 individuals and 63 organizations were recognized.
We have supported the activities of the Millennium Science Forum since its inception, which was established in 1999 to promote condensed matter science research and academic exchange between Japan and the UK. Over the past 25 years, we have participated in the Millennium Science Forum, held annually at the British Embassy in Japan, and the British lecture program, which is awarded as a supplementary prize to winners of the Sir Martin Wood Prize given to outstanding young researchers conducting research in Japan. We have continued to provide support in terms of both financial and human resources. These activities were recognized as making a significant contribution to strengthening and developing friendly scientific and technological cooperation between Japan and the UK.

Through the development and manufacturing of advanced technological solutions for industrial and research use, we will continue to improve connectivity between people and things in a hyper-information society, contribute to the medical field, and support the development of scientific research fields. We will support science and technology exchange between Japan and the UK.
