Raman microscopy is a versatile technique for the chemical characterization of materials across a wide range of scientific disciplines. Raman imaging combined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) as a RISE (Raman Imaging and Scanning Electron) microscope streamlines the correlation of chemical and structural information. The elemental insight provided by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) can now also be integrated within this hybrid instrument, enabling even more comprehensive sample analyses.
This workshop will offer a detailed look at the theoretical background and potential application areas of Raman-SEM-EDS imaging, and attendees will experience live demonstrations of the latest equipment, including correlative measurements of several samples.
