ISSE workshop 2022 is the 11th meeting in a series, which was initiated by Michael Meisner at Berlin in 1999. The workshop is held under the patronage of the International Society for Sample Environment (ISSE) and will focus on two main topics:

• Sample environment at neutron scattering facilities
• Sample environment at synchrotron radiation facilities
